We’re into the final stages of readying Harriet the horsebox to welcome visitors, and it is always those last details that take forever to complete. Our truck house was home for so long, and in it’s new incarnation, refitted with reclaimed materials and things that we have collected along the way, it is a really lovely place to spend time in.

The new kitchen has a full size gas cooker, a lovely spruce worktop and doors, and we’ve completely refitted the ceilings, cupboards and added some of our favourite artwork. We’ve found some great bits and pieces – even the doorknobs are great.

The cosy living room and box bed has a woodburner, which heats the truck, and also water for washing.

As always the details are what makes Harriet the horsebox so special –
