This weekend we had lots of help here at the roundhouse – Jim, Mark, Helen, Michael, Alexey, Steven and Denise did a fine job and we finished off all the lime-hemp plaster that we have, so 3 out of 5 wall panels now have a scratch coat of plaster.

Mark and Alexey made a fine job of patching up the cob wall where the mix had shrunk, Jim held the straw together with his chicken wire repairs, and the rest of us plastered away.
Later in the day we used a clay mix to make a mortar to hold the central brick hearth, and pointed it with the same clay mix.
