We get a lot of requests from folk who would like to come and have a look around, find out more, and share their stories with us, so this year we have decided to have an open day on June 17th , when anyone can come and see what we get up to, and ask questions about any aspect of what we do here at Lackan Cottage Farm.  Many of our visitors have very similar aims and interests, so we also thought it would be good for like minded people to be able to get together and share their ideas. We are asking for a small donation of £5 per adult on the day.

We are asking people to bring some food to share, and we’ll provide some food too. If you would like to attend, please let us know by email – lackancottage@riseup.net

The format is going to be as follows – we’ll start promptly but after that times are approximate.

10.30am – An introduction  – how we came to be here,  a little history of the place, and our plans for the future

11.00am – Tour of the farm – Off grid power (sun and wind), composting loo and reedbeds, then the buildings, and the veg garden and orchard.

12.00pm – Lunch. Visitors are free to have a walk around, visit the woods, gardens etc

1.30pm – Question and answer – we’ll both be available to answer any questions you may have. Claire will cover horticulture, Steve will cover buildings and energy.

2.30 – 3pm – Event ends

Timings are approximate
