This off grid cottage is beautifully made to be a natural, healthy environment. It offers you a cosy, personal space that has the highest environmental credentials but which doesn’t compromise visitor comfort. This is what makes Birch Cottage one of the few cottages in Northern Ireland to hold a Green Tourism Gold award and a 4 star Tourism Northern Ireland rating.
We want to live here! Your cottage is a dream, absolutely gorgeous and has left us feeling relaxed and also inspired. The woodburning stove was super fun to use. Your kind and friendly welcome was also very appreciated. As many others have said, the only downside is that we can't stay longer and explore the local area.
What a treat it was to stumble across such a haven of happiness. We have thoroughly enjoyed our short stay in the eco cottage. From the initial warm and welcoming introduction we knew we would enjoy our stay.
Thank you so much for letting us share a little part of your country paradise! Was a perfect weekend and wish we didn't have to go! Two days is not enough. Also thank you to all the feathery and furry friends we made here. Best birthday weekend ever.
We have absolutely loved staying in this beautiful cottage (its even better than the pictures show). We wish we were staying longer but we will definitely be back! We loved meeting all the animals. Thanks for everything.
What a magical way to spend our first wedding anniversary. You've thought of everything and you've inspired us to make some small eco changes at home. Cannot wait to come back! Thank you.
Our trip for discovering Co.Down and the Mournes area was really special, but topping it off with this spectacular cottage made extra special and an experience we'll never forget. Everything about the cottage and it's surroundings is unique and clearly built with love and hard work. We will be recommending this beautiful place to all our friends and family.
Thanks so much for letting us stay in your perfect little cottage - we couldn't have enjoyed it any more! We loved everything about it here, especially being able to pick fresh raspberries for breakfast and have had such a lovely relaxing time. Will definitely be back.
We adore your cottage and land, the amount of hard work and love that has gone into it is obvious. We wish we were staying longer because we have loved our time here but you will be seeing us again! Many thanks for letting us stay.
