We love welcoming visitors to Lackan Cottage Farm, but this is our family home, and that of our guests, so we ask that visitors do not turn up unannounced. We are happy to arrange visits for groups, and we run a couple of Open Days each year where people can come and get a proper look around.
We love dogs but we have animals and young children running free, so we ask that you leave them at home. We also ask visitors to ensure that young children respect the growing spaces, pond etc – they are fragile ecosystems that are still establishing themselves.
We can talk about all sorts of aspects of life here – from eco building and renewable energy systems, to food and fuel production, as well as our ethos, and why we have chosen to live this way. We are also happy to look at potential sites and buildings to offer suggestions and advice, as well as permaculture design and how to get the most out of a site.
Visiting is by prior arrangement only so if you would like to come along to the next open day or arrange a group visit, email us – stevepbyrne@gmail.com and we will let you know as soon as we fix a date.
