Originally opening in 2014, we are set to open our new 70-seater restaurant in central Newcastle with a brand new state-of-the-art kitchen due to the high customer demand as a result of our outstanding reputation for service and fine dining. Our head chef and director Paul Cunningham alongside newly appointed co-director Fiona Davey aim to provide our fantastic food and service to a larger customer base with our larger premises.

Turley’s Bar and Flax Restaurant
Turley’s is located at a rural crossroads in the heart of the County Down countryside. Formerly the location of a 19th century flax mill hence the inspiration for our restaurant’s name. The building suppliers, public house and church are the hub of the local farming community. Lying on the main route between Rathfriland and Dromara with idyllic views of the Mourne Mountains and only a couple of minutes of the main road from Banbridge to Newcastle.

We apply the same attention to detail to everything we make. From our freshly battered cod to the steaks, pates, soups, sauces and relishes we hand make in our kitchen we’re proud to say that the food we serve tastes great.
The Mourne Seafood Bar, Dundrum
If you enjoy fresh local seafood at an affordable price then make your way to the Mourne Seafood bar in Dundrum or Belfast. Our seafood restaurants are unique in Ireland as they source all their shellfish from our very own shellfish beds. The Dundrum restaurant is situated in the picturesque village of Dundrum, at the foot of the Mourne Mountains; the seafood bar is only 30 minutes drive from Belfast.

The Turnip House
The Turnip House is run by our friends John and Elaine McCombe and is a craft gallery, where at weekends (and weekdays, during July and August) you can get fantastic soup, homemade bread and cake. Perfect for a lazy afternoon, the fires are lit, and the views down over the Mournes are amazing. Also be sure to make it to the Creative Convivium, a 3 day craft and music event held each August.
