Turley’s is located at a rural crossroads in the heart of the County Down countryside. Formerly the location of a 19th century flax mill hence the inspiration for our restaurant’s name. The building suppliers, public house and church are the hub of the local farming community. Lying on the main route between Rathfriland and Dromara with idyllic views of the Mourne Mountains and only a couple of minutes of the main road from Banbridge to Newcastle.

The Turnip House

The Turnip House is run by our friends John and Elaine McCombe and is a craft gallery, where at weekends (and weekdays, during July and August) you can get fantastic soup, homemade bread and cake. Perfect for a lazy afternoon, the fires are lit, and the views down over the Mournes are amazing. Also be sure to make it to the Creative Convivium, a 3 day craft and music event held each August.
