Birch Cottage is hidden on our organic smallholding.It sits in the unique County Down landscape of rolling drumlin hills. Overlooking woodland, bog and heather to the west contrasting with Mourne Mountains to the east. The cottage is a quiet haven that invites guests to engage more deeply with the landscape and our heritage by taking a small stake in its conservation. Our guests tell us that being able to walk straight private woodland is something that they value very highly. Small but beautifully made to be a natural, healthy environment we’ve created a cosy, personal space that has the highest environmental credentials but which doesn’t compromise visitor comfort. This is what makes Birch Cottage one of the few cottages in Northern Ireland to hold a Green Tourism Gold award and a 4 star Tourism Northern Ireland rating.

Easy pricing
Our prices are very straightforward. A single per-night price for up to 2 adults, and a one-off cleaning fee per visit. No middle-man, no commission and all payments are made securely by credit card using Stripe.
Discount codes
If you have a coupon or discount code, enter it when you book and the total will be deducted before your card is charged.
Damage Deposit
We ask guests for a refundable damage deposit of £100. This will be authorised but not taken from your card.
Restrictions
Birch Cottage and the Off Grid Horsebox are not suitable for children of any age, and we do not allow pets. Please refer to our terms and conditions before booking.
