Well, the truck is nearly ready now – just a few bits of plumbing and everything inside will be done. Any furniture that was coming from the house is now in, and the place is starting to fill with belongings, making it feel like a proper home.
We’re getting very cunning with storage now, every nook and cranny counts when space is at a premium.
Perhaps because it’s now so close, the thought of having to be self sufficient for electricity is pretty scary, as is having to watch the water supply carefully, and plan for hot water etc.
The missing ingredient at the moment is the solar – that won’t be in for another week or so, and I’m also hoping to get a top coat of paint on the outside of the wagon once the weather comes good again.
Well it looks fantastic. My partner and I have just moved into a tiny apartment, and I love it. We haven’t gone self sufficient this time though, but we do have some big solar panels on the roof for the water.
Cheers Jaye 🙂 I think that at some point I’ll have a go at making some panels from old radiators, but for now it’ll just be nice to get in and enjoy it for a while. Great to de-clutter and live simply though.
