It has been six months now since we started offering people the opportunity to stay in Birch Eco Cottage, and not only has the response been amazing, we’ve met some wonderful people – for instance Lucy our forest school teacher. Here’s one response –

The stay at the eco cottage was something we had been looking forward to since booking a few weeks in advance and it achieved everything we were hoping for, and more. The seclusion of the cottage was amazing, the design and cosiness wonderful, and having arrived in the dark on a freezing night, the morning view out of the lounge window across the ‘road’ to a quiet and still, frozen forest is something that will live with me for a long time.

Birch Cottage is off grid, powered by 100% renewable energy, heated with wood, and refurbished with natural non toxic materials – even the paint is food safe. You can switch off, sit by the fire, and look out at the mountains, or the birch woods. Guests can look around the farm, walk in the woods, and we are situated within a short distance of two forest parks and the sea.

The cottage is now Four Star rated by Tourism Northern Ireland, and is Gold rated by Green Tourism. We put our heart and soul into this little cottage, and judging by the response of our guests, it shows. You can stay from as little as £60 per night – most people book through Air BnB, and you can do just that by following this link.
