Last year we were approached by a couple of production companies about appearing in TV programmes, and we said yes where they were factual. The first was one about homes in Britain and Northern Ireland, so we spent half a day with a camera crew and played host to Gloria Hunniford, who although not really a fan of this way of life, was charming and very good at helping us along. They got some nice bits of film and it captures the place at a good time of year. Of course we inevitably got compared with ‘The Good Life’, despite saying we’d no wish to be totally self sufficient, but hey ho, and I’ve always wondered whether I was conditione by the programme at an early age, so you never know. Anyhow, you can watch it on iplayer for a bit if you have a license, or our little bit on youtube which a friend grabbed for us.

I miss you all! Lyra is so big and grown-up. It’s so wonderful to see how your home has grown and evolved. We really want to come back and wwoof again!! Does our free night stay in the tepee still exist? We “won” it when we donated forever ago to the classroom fund. If it does, hold onto it for us 🙂
Totally! You are most welcome any time and you can stay in the tipi as long as you like. The poles that you guys helped prepare are still going strong, too.
