Midsummer is already upon us, and to mark the occasion, we have erected our own standing stone, which looks toward the mountains with which it shares its roots. We will mark important occasions through the year with a circle of stones. The granite here weathers to white once winter has had a chance to work on it. By the time the grass has grown, it will be quite striking.

The warm weather has ushered in many new forms of life, from baby chicks, to baby courgettes –

Many interesting building projects are coming along too, but they distract from  tending the vegetables and the horses, so it will be a relief when they are complete. More news on them later. Time to get outside and get some much needed weeding done before it all goes totally beserk!
