Off Grid Living series: #4 Energy

This course is aimed at: People who want to be more energy independent, and provide some or all of their energy needs using renewable energy. Also those who are interested in home heating using wood fuel, and the various types of system available. No previous experience necessary. We will broadly cover assessing your energy requirements in order to specify a system.

Learn how to generate your own electricity and heat your home using renewable resources. Using a range of practical examples we will look at solar pv, wind turbines and battery storage, as well as solar thermal (hot water) systems. Also we will examine heating systems that use wood, as well as techniques for growing your own wood supply.
